BILLING AND PAYMENT POLICIES - 2011-2012
Registration Fee: First entrance families pay a one-time registration
fee of $1,000.00 upon initial admission to Falcon International School. This is
a non-refundable fee. A special payment schedule may be approved by the administration
based the individual family situation, however in no circumstance be extended beyond
twelve months.
Matriculation Fee: The matriculation fee is paid in full for all
students prior to the start of each school year. The fee is due April 30th of each
year for returning students; and, for new students, it should be paid at the time
of enrollment with the above registration fee. This is a non-refundable fee.
Tuition: Tuition, if paid annually is due prior to the twelfth
of August 2011. If the tuition is paid monthly, payments must be received prior
to the fifth of every month August through June (eleven payments). Those students
entering after the start of the school will be offered a 5% discount based on the
monthly payment schedule, if they chose to pay the remainder of the school year.
Complete monthly payments will be charged regardless of the day of the month a new
student enrolls.
Individual Educational Program (IEP): If it is determined that
the student will require an IEP, there will be a fee based on the level of additional
tutoring required.
Billing and Payment: School fees are quoted
in US dollars. Payment in cash (or by check) can be made by depositing the amount
due for the benefit of Ventana Al Futuro JML SA in any branch of Banco Nacional
de Costa Rica in account # 100-02-131-600300-0 or Scotiabank account # 3136092-01.
All fees stated here are based on deposits made directly in the School account.
Note: Payment made by deposit in any of the above banks must be
identified with the student's name, with a copy sent (by hand or fax 2637-7471)
to the school business office.
Surcharges: A surcharge of 10% per month is levied against monthly
payments or other payments made after the due date. A charge of $45.00 is due to
the school for each check rejected by the bank.
School Supplies: Consumable workbooks, on-loan classroom textbooks,
and some school supplies are included in school fees. Individual teachers may require
specific supplies for special class projects or experiments during the school year
and will inform the students/parents directly of these needs. Parents will receive
a list of items required to be purchased upon registration.
Technology: All students from seventh through twelfth grade are
required to have a personal laptop compatible with the e-books used by the school
for class work and special assignments.
Additional Fees:
1. Students are required to purchase the official P.E. and
Falcon International school uniform.
2. The Falcon Parents Association (FPA) requires a $55.00
contribution per year per child This payment is made directly to the association.
3. All entering students pay $80 for the initial Measurement
of Academic performance test and $10 for their
personal student identification. Replacement identifications for reasons other than
normal usage have a cost of $10.00
4. All students are required to maintain current the Costa Rican
Student accident policy prior to entering the school. Each family is responsible
to make this payment unless the parents provide proof of other insurance.
5. Additional charges may be levied for consumable materials in
courses like art and for personal reference texts when required by the school.
6. Students must pay for the cost of special examinations required
by Falcon International, such as International accreditation tests, IC3 and MOS.
